2026 LAAC-WPH PRO STOP

The WPH Pro Stop returned to the Los Angeles Athletic Club for the second year in a row proving to be one of the best venues in the world to showcase handball.

In the Men’s R48 final, Martin Mulkerrins returned to the top by defeating Leo Canales in two games to win his sixteenth Race title. Ireland’s Niamh Heffernan continue her dominance this season by defeating Aoife Holden in two games for her fourth straight WR title. Sean Lenning defeated the LAAC’s, Rafa Martinez, in a tiebreaker for his third SR title.

In the most improved performance of the tournament, the LAAC’s very own, Dylan Hernandez upset #6 seed, Mark Doyle in the round of 16, took #3 seed, Leo Canales, to a tiebreaker, defeated #7 seed, Sean Lenning, only fall to Ray Ure for a 6th place finish and a jump to #12 on the R48 rankings.

Thanks to the all the sponsors, donors, and WPH who contributed towards the success of the tournament including my fellow LAAC committee members: Stephen Cooney, Ryan Watkins, and Vic Perez
